Apps is a cube with rounded corners, like an icon on a smart phone screen. Designed by Richard Hutten in accordance with the best Artifort traditions – it’s smooth, timeless and comfortable. The comfort of the Apps armchair is excellent due to the use of stretch webbing in the back and an ingenious seating structure. The Apps series can be specified with two toned materials in both leather and fabric. Please contact us for specific options and suggested color compositions.

Richard Hutten was born in 1967 and graduated from the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven in 1991. In the same year he started his own design studio, working on a variety of avant-garde projects such as his No Sign of Design and Table Upon Table concepts. He is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers and a key exponent of Droog Design, in which he has been involved since its inception in 1993. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Centraal Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art in Amsterdam, Vitra Museum Weil am Rhein, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Phiippe Stark used Hutten’s designs for the interiors of the Delano Hotel Miami and the Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles.
