The Mare ottoman was designed by René Holten in 2003 as a companion item to the Mare sofas. Holten's design is elegant, timeless and suits both modern and transitional interiors. The Mare Romance sofa (2006) with loose back cushions and More Mare modular sectional (2008) both build on and expand Holten's original Mare designs and reinforce their fundamental aesthetic and functional purity. The original ottoman works seamlessly with each design in the Mare family of products and can now be enhanced with a wide assortment of Artifort powder coat frame colors.

René Holten (1961) is a graduate of the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
