Monica Förster

Monica Förster is a creator of some of the most internationally renowned objects in contemporary Swedish design. Her work is characterized by a strong sense of pure form mixed with a never ending curiosity for new materials and technologies. Always trying to work in a cross-disciplinary way, she invents and renews typologies in industrial, furniture and object design. Förster’s has worked with many international companies through her studio in Stockholm, including: Artifort, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau, De Padova, Bernhardt, Whirlpool, Vibia, Tacchini, Volvo and Modus. She has been awarded numerous Swedish and international awards such as Designer of the Year and has been exhibited  worldwide in museums  and  institutions  such as the Museum of Modern Art in NY and VA museum, London. The stylish, impeccably executed, Suit chair is Förster’s first design for Artifort.
